Christmas is Coming!

.

... for one of my most loyal clients!

She took advantage of my Christmas and Holiday Page pricing with 4 layouts to use for her darling little girl and also a holiday themed frame. I am still a little snowflake crazy and obsessed with the MME Christmas line so I hope she likes what I've done. Otherwise, I'll just have to keep the frame for myself!

Thanks Amber for your order and hope to do more work for you in the new year!

Christmas Layout Pricing. 5 Days Left!

2 Pages for $12! This price is for Christmas and winter-themes only.

I am LOVING this new line of paper from My Mind's Eye and this look is definitely "me". I'm so excited to carry through on my promise to make more pages that allow me to be totally creative. These 2 layouts are now available on Ebay and I'm hoping to list more like this in the coming days.

Make A Wish....

I was honored to be asked to make another album for a deserving little girl who is going to Disney as part of her "Make-A-Wish" wish. If you are not familiar, The Make A Wish Foundation has been granting wishes to children with life-threatening diseases for almost 30 years. One of my clients is gifting this album to Rosaria so she can put photos of her trip in after she returns. I hope it becomes a family treasure.

I have done some work for several charities and am open to any custom work you would like for your organization. I do not profit from the crafts I make for charities and non-profits so please contact me for more information.

Change is Coming!

With the new year fast approaching, I have been reflecting on my business and the direction I am headed. I feel like I am spinning my wheels and stalling a bit creatively. I have decided the reason for this is my reliance on selling on Ebay. I do plan to continue selling on Ebay but it will not be my main focus. Instead, I will be working toward expanding my creative designs and really making pages and other projects that reflect my true style. I am just so in love with designs I see in the scrap world and sometimes those great looks do not translate into Ebay sales. I had to make a decision on what is more important, making money or being at my creative best.

Here is a layout that I worked on this morning that is in line with my new thinking. It's my daughter's kindergarten photo that I have turned into a scrap page with journaling (my printer cooperated for once!). It's very simple and uses textures (metal, buttons, ribbon) while keeping the focus on the gorgeous photo.

I am also planning a HUGE SPECIAL for 2009 but you will have to wait until Christmas to hear about it! It's going to be my gift to you!

So Lazy!

Between traveling, holiday visits, and family time, I have officially become "unproductive". The only work I did this weekend was a trip to Hobby Lobby, a store I had never been to before! I stocked up on some great supplies that I can't wait to use on all of my crafts. Since I can't let my public down, I'll use this opportunity to present some of my "greatest hits"

What I am Thankful For:

NAME ALBUMS!

These hot little numbers have been my best selling items to date! They have officially outnumbered the "must-have" item of 2007... The Lunch Box. I have had so much fun being creative with these. You'll notice that there is another Meghan in this set.... and interestingly enough, it is done in mostly purples like the previous one I made. Guess Meghans like purple. This Meghan prefers pink.

I have one more that I'm scheduled to custom make for a little girl in the "Make a Wish" Foundation so stay posted for that after Thanksgiving.

I'm hoping to take some of my work on the road this weekend as I travel to the in-laws to enjoy Thanksgiving and I hope that all of you have a great holiday as well! See you back here in December!

Now Presenting: Ella!

So many unique names. I've done many of these albums and I don't think I've duplicated many names and this is no exception. A local mom and friend of mine ordered "Ella" for her friend who is expecting a little girl soon. This little one already has great taste since pink and brown was requested and that is one of my favorite color combos (I even wore a pink sweater with brown pants to church today).

I am so thankful to all the friends & new clients who have approached me to do these albums for them. I know I said Christmas orders were closed but I did have a request for 2 more albums so I will be placing an order before Thanksgiving if anyone has a last minute gift request for a name album. You must contact me by Tuesday as I will be placing my order Tuesday night and leaving for the holiday on Wednesday.

Scrapbooking Tip #10: Be Inspired!

Everyone who knows me knows that I began seriously scrapbooking for my daughters. They give me all the inspiration I need. Helping me along the way are the FABULOUS raw materials I am able to get my hands on. These papers are from "My Minds Eye" and what can I say? I absolutely adore them. The cardstock is so thick that I think it could second as Chinet. I love the distressed look. The flowers are, of course, from Prima... the BEST!

I am telling everyone my New Year's Resolution and I am starting it immediately (since it's not a diet or anything terrible!) and I hope it inspires you too: Keep Your Camera with you at all times! You never know when a moment of inspiration will occur. I was recently driving down to my favorite scrap store and I take the quiet back roads to get there. We had snow that morning (just enough to make everything pretty) and I saw some truly awe-inspiring scenery and I didn't have my camera with me! From now on, my camera will be riding shotgun!

Merry Christmas for these Children:

In October, I placed an order for name albums that I guaranteed ready for Christmas delivery. I am happy to say that I have completed all of them! The last 7 are shown here and I'm going to be getting these out to my clients soon.

This one is DEFINITELY my favorite one EVER... great name :)...

I am still taking orders for these but at this point I can't guarantee a Christmas delivery (in an emergency, I could get it done but contact me ASAP) but I do have many other wonderful items that you can consider giving for the holidays. Check out my website www.jeunegirl.com to see samples of my custom work and search www.ebay.com for JeuneGirlCrafts (all one word) for items I have available for sale.
