More Finished Projects.

Again, it's always nice to see how my clients take the items I've made and display them or decorate them further. Here are some samples a proud mom put together and emailed to me. Great work!

10 Page Special Extended!

Thanks to all of you who took advantage of the 10 Page Special. I had no idea I'd have so many responses. I've decided to keep them at that $50 price until further notice (no more free shipping though.... free shipping is available on purchases of $75 and more... thank you for understanding!) You have until Feb 28th to get in on the free shipping! Here is the latest 10 page order which was definitely my most "do whatever you want" order I've ever received. That made it challenging initially but I ended up having so much fun with it!

I <3 Being Crafty!

The past 2 months have been some of my most enjoyable, creatively. I made that resolution to really stick to my look (whatever that is) while putting myself out there to make myself available for design teams and magazines. I am happy to say that I am being published for the first time in an online magazine next month (stay posted for those details!)

Here are some pages I made using some cute photos of Brynne:

This first page is following a trend that I didn't know if I would like it until I tried it.... and I really like it!!! White paper with a bold section. This is kind of "out there" so I don't think I'll be offering this to my clients but for me, I love it (but if you like it too... let me know!)

Not sure why you can see the tape through the vellum on this one (guess you shouldn't believe the packaging when it says "invisible under vellum")... luckily I never use vellum and definitely won't be using on client pages.

Boy Frames

I'm loving these frames. I even came across even cuter wooden letters to use on them (the first J was cute but later discovered that most letters from that company are way too big to go on these frames (M&W are HUGE) so these new letters are cute shapes and are pretty much made to coordinate with these frames.

This order came from one of my local moms and business owner!! (I'm sure she won't mind me giving a plug for her store, Little Ones which is located on Rt 32 in New Paltz right next to my favorite eatery.... Wrapsody Grill) I'm happy to do some work for her since she is nice enough to let me display some of my work in her store (which reminds me, I now have to go make another frame to be a sample in her store!)

PS. You'll notice I came up with a creative solution to the "Catrina as boy model". I remembered I took some artsy photos of one of my most prized possessions when I first got my new camera lens. My American League baseball (that I got at a real Yankee game back in 1988) is going to be my new model for boy projects!

Does Size Matter?

I was working on my own pages today during my "free" time (both girls in school!) and made one layout 12 x 24 and another in 6x12.... talk about extremes. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the big one (possibly frame it and hang it somewhere... not that I have wall space) but at least the 6x12 will have a home in a 6x12 album I happen to have (I recommend getting one.... the pages are QUICK AND EASY to make!)

Here's to My Nieces!

I am privileged to do work for family, friends and total strangers. Here is an order I received from my sister-in-law Cheryl. I spent more time selecting the paper than actually making it! Sometimes I think working for people I don't really know is actually EASIER!

Cheryl requested similar looks for the frames and something "Earthy... with pink and green" which translated to me as muted pinks and sage greens rather than more bold pastel shades. This Wild Asparagus paper was PERFECT for these frames. This paper is my favorite brand. It is so textured that it almost looks like wallpaper. I love it so I felt it was worthy of my little nieces (rather than gathering dust as I held onto it for "the perfect project")

10 More Pages!

Ahhhhhhh... 10 More Pages!!!
The special goes til the end of the month so if you want 10 custom pages, let me know before the end of the month and I'll get to work on them for you. I have already made 10 pages for this client but she wanted 10 more. With our busy lives, so many people LOVE the look of scrapbook pages and do craft on their own but just find themselves out of time. I actually think I should find someone to make pages for ME since I haven't been keeping up with my own pages at all. (I need a scrap night with the girls I think!)

NEW ITEM! Deluxe Frames Now Available

Ever wonder how I come up with my crafts? Some ideas I steal.... there I said it. I "scraplift" from magazines and websites when I see items that are just to die for (I don't COPY... I "scraplift"... there is a difference!) Other ideas come to me during crisis situations!

Last weekend I was attending a birthday party for my neighbor's daughter. In my usual state of craziness, I sort of procrastinated in making her a gift. I wanted to make her a large wall letter and figured I had a "J" in my stash since J is a pretty popular letter but, of course, I didn't. So I went to my backup plan.... a frame. In my journey to find a "J" I came across a smaller J that on its own was pretty wimpy to give as a gift and at that moment a lightbulb went off. I knew I could combine the letter with the frame! I posted the photo on Facebook and the orders IMMEDIATELY started coming in!

My business is all about finding the next big thing. Clients who already have the wall letters and the name albums need MORE things to add to their collection so I'm constantly trying to find new and interesting projects.

Contact me for details on ordering these custom frames. The end of the school year is fast approaching!!! (hint hint!)

This first frame is the birthday gift for my neighbor who just turned 6.

I'm happy to say that this frame was the first order I received when the client saw the birthday gift frame. Luckily, I have worked extensively with this mom (wall letters, name albums) so I pretty much know what her son's entire room looks like and she gave me a few colors but I pretty much knew right away that I wanted to use this AMAZING Crate Paper and 28th Street Market paper to create this one of a kind frame.

PS. Funny story... It took longer for me to find a photo to use with this frame than it took to actually make the frame. My girly girls are always photographed in PINK so I had to go back to the archives. This is Catrina... don't tell her I featured her on a frame that says "our boy".

Who Doesn't Love Free Stuff?

The major photo websites have been throwing free albums at their customers. I have gotten 3 free books in the last 2 months. Of the 3, I was most pleasantly surprised by this one from Shutterfly. It was so much like a scrapbook that I was excited to put it all together. I even had great customer service when the coupon code I tried to use didn't work.

The free book offer is available on 8x8 books with a photo cover. You get 20 pages free and all you pay for is shipping. The offer expires on Feb 28th so if you want your own free book, visit Shutterfly and upon checkout, enter this promo code:

Here's a hot tip for some MORE free stuff. One of my favorite scrappers is giving away sets from a NEW paper line... visit her blog for details!

Seeing the Finished Product

Usually when I make pages for clients, I do them without photos and send them on their merry way.... never to be seen again (LOL). Occasionally, I get photo updates showing the great way that they were completed on the other end. Here are a few from a recent 10 page job I completed... Thanks for sending these in!

Last of the Set:

Enjoy! I may have missed one or 2 but the set of 30 is complete!
